The Settings tab represents the general RSSeo! configuration panel.
This tab is divided into four sections:

Crawler:
- Use php 'exec' function: Yes / No. If loopback connections are not supported by your hosting provider, you can try using the exec connection method. This should be used as a last resortonly as this absorbes a good portion of the server-side resources.
- Crawl Level - you can set the crawler only to go to a specified level, the frontpage being considered level 0. For each link that is found on the frontpage the crawler will reinitialize, thus achieving level 1, and so on
- Auto Crawler - pages are crawled when these are displayed (front-end)
- Checking if the URL is Search Engine Friendly
- Checking for duplicate title tags
- Checking for title tag length
- Checking for duplicate meta description
- Checking for the meta description tag length
- Checking the number of meta keywords
- Checking for headings
- Checking for images
- Checking for images without the alt attribute
- Checking for images without the height or width attribute
- Ignore links when crawling - you can set the crawler to ignore certain links. For example if i were to tell the crawler to ignore links that contain "tmpl=component, i would fill specify this: {*}tmpl=component{*} ,{*} being a unspecified combination of chars with unspecified length
Replacements:
- Enable Keyword Replacement - if enabled (Keywords tab), your keyword will become bold or underlined
- Keyword delimiters - delimiters between keywords
- Replace "componentheading" - replace this class with a specified heading tag
- Replace "contentheading" - replace this class with a specified heading tag
cURL:
Here you can set up a ussage with a Proxy server. This is particulary useful when your hosting provider does not allow loopback connections. Basically this will allow RSSeo! to perform page request via a third party server, thus bypassing the loopback limitation. Configuration options:
- Enable proxy: yes/no
- Proxy server: the server address of the Proxy server
- Proxy port: the port that is used to make the connection
- Username
- Password
Subdomains:
Here you can add any sub-domains that you might have in this section. This enables keyword tracking in the specified subdomains.
Keyword Density:
- Enable keyword density: yes/no; enable or disable the keyword density.
- Copy page keywords to page density keywords: yes/no; by selecting this option you can copy the keywords that you have set in the "Meta Keywords" field of each page to the "Calculate keyword density" field.
- Overwrite existing keywords: yes/no; overwrite existing keywords in the "Calculate keyword density" field.
